‘We are excited to share that BCAM’s very own Pat Phillips new book, Flight Lines, is now available in the gift shop!
Born in 1945 in Vancouver, B.C., Pat Phillips moved to Vancouver Island in 1976, his interest in aviation took off with a familiarization flight at Victoria International Airport.
During flight training, Pat was inspired to write fifteen poems related to flying, all are included in this book. One poem, ‘Flight Prayer,’ is read globally at ‘celebrations of life’ and has been included on the memorial page of the ‘U.S. Naval Test Pilots School’ history publication.
After achieving his Private Pilot License, Pat joined a group to start what became the B.C. Aviation Museum and was elected President.
He also organized two airshows in Victoria, B.C, and spent many hours working on the iconic PBY 5A ‘Canso’ flying boat, ‘Shady Lady.’
